Our History

Among the longest serving and experienced development industry service providers on the Sunshine Coast, KHA Development Managers was established in 1976 by a Sunshine Coast Surveyor. The business was originally known as Ken Hicks & Associates.

While our founder has long retired, the pedigree of professionalism continues as a new generation of leadership accepted the mantle of service excellence to build and expand the business to include a full menu of vital skills necessary for delivery of coordinated services required by today’s development clients.  

In 2009, the business name was changed to KHA Development Managers to reflect the breadth and depth of development processes, application approval knowledge and comprehensive professional services offered.

While KHA Development Managers provides service covering all aspects of urban development including shopping centres, small and large mixed-use projects and multi-storey towers, KHA Development Managers have become leaders in the specialist areas of aged care, mining and education.

KHA Development Managers’ complementary services include Town Planning, Surveying, Project Management and Court Appeals.

These services may be used in isolation or as a package which ensures cohesive and timely preparation of all the necessary requirements for development approval applications.

With offices on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane and Townsville, KHA Development Managers cover all major Queensland development areas from South East Queensland through the Bowen Basin and Central and North Queensland.
